For a healthier environment
For those who can afford, fact remains that every fifth garment they buy remains in their closet unused. Ultimately, majority of these end up in landfills and release hazardous greenhouse gases. The fashion industry is also the 3rd most polluting industry.
For a stronger economy
Every nation around the world is spending a mammoth amount to curb the carbon footprint and pollution. So, controlling the carbon footprint through the process of donation equals saving money for the country which can be otherwise used in actual developmental activities.
BOLD is Nonprofit Initiative working on Sustainability Issues.
BOLD stands for Borrow, Lend and Donate. It is a non-profit initiative with the primarily focussing on working towards sustainability issues related to clothing and textiles. It aims to change the perception of how clothes are valued and used in our society. We have taken the responsibility of making the society aware about the negative environmental impact created by the clothing industry and we have created a simple yet meaningful system to curb it - by way of sharing clothes amongst the peers and ultimately donating the garments to those who are in need of it.
